Don’t miss the gift shop… Hello everyone, how was your weekend? We went to see King Tut exhibition this weekend. We were so excited as many artifacts on display were out of Egypt the very first time. The show was amazing but at the end we realized that King Tut was not part of this exhibition. We looked at our ticket again more closely and it says the “Treasures of the Golden Pharoah”. It’s actually an exhibition of King Tut’s treasures! ? Though a little disappointed, we did find the “mummies” in the gift shop and there were many of them for sale. ? However we still loved the exhibition a lot and were so amazed with the intricate designs from thousands of years ago. Happy Halloween, everyone! ? I hope your day is filled with joy, not horror. Today is also the last day of Inktober 2018. I hope you will enjoy these last ”slices” of my Inktober drawings. This is my first inktober and it has been a wonderful experience. I'm glad that I accepted the challenge. It helped me realize that if we are determined, we can always come up with ideas! Also I would never have thought of drawing some of the things if it were not for the prompt words of Inktober. What a nice surprise! If you have been following my Inktober stories, you probably had noticed that all the even number days feature Hobbie and Doggie. For the odd number days I tried to have some freedom and just drew whatever the word prompted me to draw. I'm planning to add color to some of the drawings and post them. When we allow fear in, it also opens the door to all its companions-anger, frustration, despair, etc. They are going to quickly take over the space of your mind and eat up all your sweet thoughts. So don’t let them in! Don’t give them a chance to get any treats or trick you! Guard your sweet thoughts and inner peace, and do the things that make you happy. ❤️ Fear, anger, frustration and despair go around trying all individuals and households. Hi, how was your weekend? What are some voices and words that have filled up your time and your mind? The world is full of noises that are trying to get our attention, define who we are, or make us act and think in certain ways. If we are not careful, we can so easily get confused, distracted, or discouraged. However, we can discern if the voice is good or bad by the feelings it provokes. Does it provoke anger, jealousy, despair, or does it provide hope, love and inspiration? This discernment gives us clarity and purpose, an increased understanding of ourselves, and of the people and the world around us. Negative thoughts may visit you sometimes, but don’t let them stay or take up all the space in your mind for good positive thoughts. Have a wonderful week! You deserve it!#hobbiebear

Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day to you whether you are Shopping or “Saving”! Labor Day as a day dedicated to celebrate work/workers, we are having the day off to not work. When I think about this, it’s not contradictory but rather profound. Because Work is just much better with time away from it. Hobbie loves drawing and making comics, however, what makes comics is not the drawing the but the life lived between making comics. There is no comic if there is no life. It’s just like there is no work if we don’t have rest. Anyway, these are just some thoughts from Hobbie on Labor Day and how we can appreciate things better when we take a step back. Perspective

Life is full of challenges. The challenges we face today may seem so huge that sometimes we doubt if we will ever overcome them. However, if we keep working at them, we will eventually tackle them. Many years down the road, as we look back, those “challenges”, “hardships” and “difficulties” we experienced in the past will seem like tiny stars twinkling in the evening sky and we will realize that thanks to the challenges in our life, our nights are little brighter and our faith stronger. Hope this little post and message will bring you hope. Whatever challenges you are facing today, just remember that you are the hero in your own life story, so don’t give up and may you face challenges with beautiful smiles. 🙂 #hobbiebear
